Here are some first hand reports from Teachers who have served over in Taiwan:

 Three Boys

“Each morning I try to remember to ask the Lord to bring people into my life that are seeking to know Him. Sometimes I forget to do this but when I remember I’m amazed almost every time at what God does. This past semester I prayed that prayer and I was eating lunch at a small cafe and working on my Chinese and just wanting to be alone. Well, I had a table for four people and this lady comes up to me and ask if she could share the table with me. I said sure and she sat down. Now, I want to be  honest I didn’t really want to talk to anyone. I just wanted to eat my lunch and practice my Chinese. This lady started to ask me questions and asked if I was a Christian. Right then and there I knew that we were going to have a long conversation. We started to talk about God and about church and the different churches in Taiwan and in America and she started to ask why I believe in Jesus and why I came to Taiwan. I basically shared my heart for Taiwan and my love for Christ and how He told me to go to Taiwan. We ended our conversation and said goodbye to each other. I don’t know if this lady was saved but she did hear about Christ and it was such an encouragement to me because I knew that God brought her into my life because I asked Him to. This is just one of the stories that I have to share. I have lots more about people coming up to me to ask me what I believe and why I’m in Taiwan. This is a great starter to sharing the Gospel with people and they are always curious and they listen to you.”

“My first year in Taiwan I met a student who was in 6th grade. We connected very quickly and became best friends, well sisters I must say. We talked about Jesus and she always wanted to become a Christian but was afraid of what her family would say. We hung out a lot and our relationship got stronger and grew deeper. After my first year she went to Jr. High and I didn’t get to see her everyday like before. But we stayed in contact and she came to my house as often as she could.
On my 21st birthday I made a wish and I wished that my dear student and friend would come to know Jesus as her Lord and Saviour. I will never forget that birthday. Shortly after my 21st birthday she told me that she was ready to become a follower of Christ. She wanted to get SAVED! My team and I gather together with her and we prayed with her. She is not only my friend and my student but she is my sister for life! We will be together in Heaven FOREVER!
She is now in Sr. High school and she is on FIRE for the Lord. She loves helping out in her church and going to praise and worship practice. Last year she went all over Taiwan singing with her church group about Jesus and sharing the Gospel. This year she volunteered to be a translator for a Christian Church from America. They passed out 1350 Bibles to people in Taiwan! She is only 17 years old and she is on FIRE for Christ! You can tell that she loves Jesus so much and she wants to tell others about Him and what He has done for her and what He can do for them.”
