My Journey changed my life. James 4:7 states, “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” I believe this is what God did on my Journey.
Before the Journey I had been living a double-minded life, desperately trying to act spiritually but at the same time loving the world. As you can probably guess, this corrupt lifestyle did not work for me at all.
So when I came on the Journey one of the first things God told me was that I had to give my whole heart and everything I had to Him. But I was constantly worried that surrender would take away my free will. Finally I understood surrender does not mean bondage, but freedom!
Once I gave my heart to Him, I thought I was finished. However, my eyes were opened when someone explained to me that surrender will happen more than once. My journey is not limited to the ten days of a Journey to the Heart, but will continue far beyond. Praise God for all He has done. I know He will be with me the rest of my journey!

Wow, so awesome to hear how you have given over your life in complete and absolute surrender to our Lord! If you haven’t already, I really want to challenge you to read “Absolute Surrender” by Andrew Murray. It will change the way you live the practical Christian life! You can listen to and download the book for free here: http://www.ccel.org/ccel/murray/surrender.html

It is so wonderful to hear of the awesome things God did for you. I’m so glad you were on my team. One of the things I struggle with is absolute surrender. Satan keeps telling me that I won’t have freedom anymore but in my heart I know it is just the opposite. It is so true that the Journey does not end after 10 days, it goes on. I love you, Maria! Thank you for sharing how God worked in your life that week.

I know this is a really late comment, but I have been struggling with this too! It was such a blessing having you on my team! God does impossible things! Praise the Lord!
