“So Jotham became mighty,
because he prepared his ways
before the LORD his God”
(2 Chronicles 27:6).
Jotham is not a very well-known king of Judah, but his success ranks right up there with Josiah, Uzziah, and Hezekiah. Scripture does not leave his secret up to speculation!
In this powerful message from Dr. Roger Magnuson, delivered at a 2010 Regional ATI Conference, discover the key to Jotham’s might that is mentioned in II Chronicles 27:6. The Greek word for ways in this verse means “journey” and this important truth can be applied to the life of anyone who is “living the journey!”

Okay, I know that an hour seems like a long time but it was worth it. Dr. Magnuson is a great teacher and I really enjoyed his message. Thanks for putting this up Robert!
Another favorite of mine is his message, “The Power of Influence”. He illustrates how Joash was only a good king as long as Jehoiada, the priest, was there to influence him. It is a challenge to young people to have a personal relationship with the Lord instead of relying on anyone else’s(ex: your parent’s) relationship with the Lord to sustain and guide you. Sorry to get off of the original message there, but Dr. Magnuson does a great job!
Listen to the message and prepare your way in orderliness!
Some verses that I found that go along with the message were:
Proverbs 16:1 and Luke 12:42-48 =)
Prepare and be productive!

This was an amazing message! It took me a while to find an hour to listen to it all, but I was glad I did. I never thought about orderliness before as a holy character trait. Actually, I did tend to view it as one of the “lesser” traits. It was amazing to see how Jotham – a man so devoted to God is so underrated and how I underrate something that is so important to Jesus.
Thanks Robert for putting this up. it was a huge blessing!
