Announcing: The Challenge! Begins January 1, 2009

I find that memorizing Scripture just doesn’t come real easy for me. Unless I have someone keeping me accountable or motivating me onward, it is all to easy for this important discipline to slip through the cracks.
That’s why we have decided to launch The Challenge! 26 verses in 26 days. Beginning January 1, 2009, we will be encouraging everyone who has been on a Journey to memorize a specific chapter of the Bible—one verse a day for 26 days! The exact chapter that we will be memorizing (and further details) will be announced on New Years Eve. (One hint: The chapter will be 26 verses, obviously <g>.)
Those who successfully complete this challenge by the deadline (Midnight, January 26) will receive a $26 discount off the 2009 Living the Journey Conference! (and other rewards which will remain a surprise.) Most importantly, however, will be the eternal rewards that Scripture promises for meditating on the Word.

This sounds like a great idea. I wonder what passage they will chose (goes to flip through Bible to find a chapter with 26 verses in it).

This is certainly a great “challenge” and a worth while one that has eternal results. I love a challenge, and I can’t wait for this one to begin!

Ryan, this is open to everyone who has been on a Journey so there is no need to sign up. Once you complete The Challenge, though, you will need to fulfill the verification requirement. We’ll explain that in our next post.
